Converting the ID Buzz into a campervan
If you’ve landed on this post you’ve probably been eyeing up the iconic VW ID Buzz for a while now, and are most likely daydreaming about embarking on a truly eco #vanlife lifestyle? We know we have!
Good news! The VW ID Buzz Cargo is now available to pre–order from our friends at JCB Group in time to have a camper conversion carried out by us this year.
The VW ID Buzz Cargo launched on 7th December and is available for a starting price of £46,621.
As far as we know, we are one of the only converters developing eco-conscious interior conversion designs that will turn the ID Buzz Cargo into a beautiful, fully-functioning campervan.

We’re working our socks off to make your campervan dreams a reality as soon as possible. We are perfectly placed to hit the ground running with converting the VW ID Buzz Cargo SWB. These vans are a bit smaller than the standard VW Transporter, but larger than the VW Caddy Maxi. With our skilled team and wealth of experience converting VW Transporters and VW Caddys, we know we can work with this van to produce a fully working and beautiful campervan interior.

We hope to work closely with our first ID Buzz clients to adapt our current designs to fit the ID Buzz Cargo exactly.
What will your VW ID Buzz Campervan include?
As this campervan will be one of the first of it’s kind, we will work closely and creatively with you as our client to create the ultimate design.
Your campervan will feature the following:
- 2 original belted seats (up front)
- 2 berth
- Powerful off-grid solar panel
- Options for high tech lithium battery system
- Ingenious space saving folding slat bed design
- Sustainable organic thermafleece insulation
- An off-grid eco-friendly induction hob
- Compressor fridge
- Sink/taps
- FSC-certified sustainable wooden hand built furniture
- On-board water tank systems for efficient water use
- Option for an eco porta loo – enquire for more information
- Removable table
- Space saving storage solutions
Please note that we will not be fitting a pop-top roof to the VW ID Buzz. There will be no extra belted seats in the back of the campervan, however it will be perfect for a couple or small family and we will be able to recommend awnings or tailgate tents to make extra sleeping space, should you require more.

The Current Love Campers Designs we’ll be expanding and adapting
At Love Campers we have a range of tried and trusted, handcrafted design layouts which already work in a VW Transporter and a VW Caddy.
We’ve been busy figuring out which of these would work best for the ID Buzz Cargo, which is a smaller than the current VW Transporter but ever so slightly larger than the VW Caddy Maxis we specialise in.
Whilst there are still quite a few unknowns in terms of price and other factors, we think we’ve narrowed it down to three of our existing designs.
The Love Campers designs we will be drawing inspiration from are the Chamonix, the Avalon. However, the Buzz will have a new unique layout which will be slightly different.
Have a look at the photos below, but don’t forget that we work closely with our clients to personalise the finished look. That means that our clients get to choose the colour scheme, upholstery fabric, wood finish and other interior design elements.
