Unveiling the first luxury eco campervan conversion of the VW ID Buzz!
We’re delighted to partner with the ecologically minded Wild Drives. This is one of the first ever exclusively electric campervan hire companies in the UK. They recently launched their first eco-friendly electric campervan, Eve, which was also expertly converted by Love Campers.
VW ID Buzz Campervan conversion
We have spent the last few months converting the interior of this van. We’re very excited to reveal it this coming week at the Fully Charged show.
Impressed by our reputation for handcrafted, eco-conscious builds, our client returned to us for a second project. We have years of experience in high-level carpentry and woodwork, we were thrilled to tackle the challenge of this brand new design!
The campervan features a space-saving slat bed alongside an attractive kitchenette, which includes an electric induction hob, a sink and a 30 litre Alpicool fridge. The interior will contain a modern FSC ply laminate and bamboo for a bright and retro feel.
On top of its undeniable good looks, the van offers a powerful lithium battery and a solar panel system on the roof, making the camper functional as a totally off-grid experience without burning fossil fuels.

An eco-conscious build of the VW ID Buzz
We build our electric campervan conversions in an environmentally certified workshop. We use sustainable materials and processes. All the wood used is FSC certified and the campers use natural fibre for insulation.
The final build was unveiled at the Fully Charged show Farnborough on 28th April 2023.
A bespoke conversion of the VW ID Buzz
The VW ID Buzz is a ground-breaking medium-sized electric vehicle reminiscent of the much-loved VW Type 2 ‘Split Screen’ campers.
