In partnership with Osprey – promoting electric campervan holidays in the UK
Moving towards sustainable #vanlife
At Love Campers we’ve always encouraged people to take the leap into the wonderful world of campervan holidays, but more recently we’ve been flying the (green) flag for electric campervans as a new sustainable way to take a vacation.
Along with our friends over at Osprey Charging Network we’ve put together Four Routes for an Electric Campervan Holiday in the UK.
- The whole length of the country! Lands’ End to John O Groats
- From Capital to Coast. London to Skegness
- Along the South Coast. Hastings, Taunton, Cornwall
- The England – Wales border. Bangor to St David’s
Scroll down to find the detailed routes with postcodes of all charge points along the way.
Connecting and protecting the planet
The simple act of being outside more helps us to rethink our consumption. Being in nature, breathing in fresh air and disconnecting from the pressures of city life, allows us to reflect on the beauty of our world.
And by using an eco-friendly vehicle on top, you’ll be travelling in the knowledge that you’re not pumping out damaging fumes into the environment.
But are electric campervans any good?
The thought of electric campervans hasn’t always been well received, as many people raised concerns about the all-important range or price tag… However, things are changing at an electrifying pace as manufacturers’ technology is improving to make range worries a thing of the past.
And while electric vans are undeniably more expensive than their petrol equivalents, we’re seeing more second hand electric vans on the market than ever before. You can even get yourself a Nissan e-NV200 for around £10,899 – a van we can easily convert at Love Campers.
Check out our electric conversion pages for the VW ID Buzz, Nissan e-NV200 and the Citroen e-Dispatch,.
Some of the campervans we convert have a driving range of around 250 miles, which means you’d be able to travel all the way from our home town of Brighton to Cornwall!
Worried about electric charging points on route?
The charging network in the UK is expanding at an incredible rate so you no longer need to worry about running out of power on your adventure.
Osprey, for example, has a continually expanding network of 750+ charging stations. It provides drivers with high-power rapid electric vehicle charging in convenient and thoughtfully placed locations across the UK, empowering customers to make the most of their charging time on the road.
Osprey is renowned for its reliability and user-friendliness, accepting various payment methods and exclusively powered by 100% renewable electricity. Consistently ranking among the top three networks for ZapMap’s customer satisfaction.
