At Love Campers, we convert a variety of large vans into campervans. Today we’re looking at a Fiat Ducato camper, but our designs work for Ford Transit, VW Crafter, Citroën Relay, Renault Trafic and many more.
Our large campervans are perfect for families, couples or adventurous solo explorers. The designs make brilliant use of the space available inside for optimal functionality, which will make your van life experience feel like you’re living in a comfortable tiny home-on-wheels.
With all that in mind, we wanted to share a rundown of our most recent Fiat Ducato conversion. The design choices made by our client have created a bright, inviting and modern space – we really enjoyed working on this van!
Dining and kitchen area
Firstly, starting from the front of the van, the driver’s seat swivels round to join a bench seat and collapsible table to form the dining and living space. With two seatbelts on the bench, the van can carry two extra passengers, five in total. The upholstery fabric on the seats, in the colour Buttermilk, is made from 100% recycled fibres and is manufactured entirely from waste textiles. Overhead cabinets provide extra storage space, while an adjustable LED lamp makes for a cosy reading nook.
Next, opposite the dining area is the beautiful kitchen. The brushed brass sink and terrazzo worktops are the first things to catch your eye. But with a three-ring gas hob, oven and Dometic fridge with freezer compartment, this kitchen is style and substance. It’s the perfect place for meal prep and cooking. We especially love the worktops by Foresso. They’re made from waste wood sourced from trees felled in Britain.
Bathroom and sleeping area
In the bathroom cubicle you’ll find a Thetford fixed cassette toilet and shower to ensure ultimate comfort on the road. Towards the back of the van is the sleeping area. Here you’ll find a comfortable double bed, with a child’s bed underneath. Accessible from within the van and via the rear doors is a storage space underneath the double bed. This space is large enough to store belongings and keep them out of the way of the main interior. Additionally, a skylight above the bed means you can have the van flooded with light in the daytime, and you can gaze up at the stars at nighttime.
This van features thermafleece sheep’s wool insulation, and has been upgraded with a diesel air space and water heater to ensure comfort in all seasons. For off-grid freedom, the electrical system includes a leisure battery, with a battery-to-battery charger and solar panel. In addition, it also includes a 240V hook-up so you can plug into the mains when on a campsite. Multiple USB and plug sockets keep your devices powered up, so you can be as connected to the world as you like.
In conclusion, with this Fiat Ducato camper, you’ve got everything you need for an unforgettable adventure. From the stylish kitchen to the cosy sleeping area, every detail has been carefully designed to provide maximum comfort and functionality.
