We feel very lucky to have got our hands on the all-terrain Himiway Cruiser Fat Tyre electric bike to use for the Love Campers team. As electric vehicle enthusiasts we’d been scouring the e-bike market for some time, looking for something not only affordable, but powerful and sturdy enough to be used on a daily basis.

At Love Campers we convert vans into beautiful campervans for adventures on the road. It’s really important to us to watch our environmental footprint at all times, which is why it was so important to us to cut down on unnecessary petrol/diesel car journeys.
What we needed our electric bike to do…
The brief? For us it had to be light and powerful enough to get to local stores for fast material collections (think: emergency screws for campervan fits – that kinda thing!)
The bike also needed to be able to handle the changing terrain, weather and steep hills of the East Sussex coastline so we could ride it in to the workshop from time to time.
We wanted the bike to be able to fit into our ambulance conversion campervan so we could take it on family holidays.
It needed to be accessible for a range of cycling abilities so our whole workforce could use it.
And lastly, as an added bonus it needed to be able to handle our dog walks with the super-speedy pups, Merlin and Lucky. Merlin in particular needs to expel a LOT of energy to tire himself out!
Are Himiway Bikes Good?
We’d heard great things about the fat tyre Himiway e-bikes. Himiway is known for its high-quality electric bicycles designed for both on-and-off-road adventures. The fat tyres were particularly appealing to us. Not only because they look super cool, but because we know that fat tyres provide stronger grip and traction, to bring a more comfortable experience to the rider.
What are the main features of the Himiway Cruiser e-bike?
The Himiway has a 840Wh and 960Wh Samsung battery capacity and 250W motor power.
This means that a 96-128km range is guaranteed in one single ride.
The 26 inches fat tyres provide tremendous grip and mechanical stability.
It has a 250W Geared Hub Motor and a 7 speed gear shift system.
A sturdy rear rack which allows riders to carry gear or use saddle bags.
Twist Throttle mode, which allows riders to effortlessly cruise along without the need for pedalling.
LCD multifunctional display that provides you with all the information you need when you riding. It includes battery capacity, current speed, pedal assist level, and travel distance.
It has a USB for charging your phone.
Inbuilt 48V luminosity spotlights for riding at night.
180mm mechanical disc brakes provide ample stopping power even in the harshest conditions.
Comfortable Velo seat saddle featuring a design specially made for pressure relief.
The payload capacity is 350lb.

Our verdict
We have found that this e-bike is perfect for very quick trips to run local errands. It has saved us significant time in our working day and allowed us to become more productive. What’s more, we really look forward to a cycle trip so chores don’t seem like chores any more!
We’ve been using the E-bike on Brighton beach and have been overjoyed that it can handle the pebbly terrain. The bike feels solid and doesn’t rattle so it’s so much smoother than you’d imagine.
With just a twist of the throttle, you can easily accelerate and maintain a steady speed, giving you a smooth and enjoyable experience. The speediness is just right for us, and it definitely gets the dogs seal of approval as they run alongside the bike on the promenade.
The large range means we can go for long cycles along the coastline of Newhaven and Brighton without worrying about running out of battery.
It’s the ideal e-bike for more nervous cyclers which means the whole of our team can easily use the bike.
